Capstone
OBJECTIVE
The objective for this grade is to learn about some of the main church fathers and their contributions to our faith and the development of the church.
INSTRUCTIONS/IDEAS
- Create an icon book that includes all four weeks of lessons:
- Pentecost, St. Paul, St.Mark, and Pope Demetrius
- Have the kids cut out the icons
- Then have the kids cut out two papers in half
- Staple the four papers along the left side to form a book
- Glue the icons on the left side of every page
- On the right side across from the icons, have the kids write what they remember about that saint and their contribution to the Early Church.
- Have them decorate the cover page. Write "My Icon Book" and their name.
