OBJECTIVE

Though monasticism is a path chosen by few, all of us can learn from those who choose it.

MILESTONES

  • Scripture: By the end of this module, the children should have four bible verses memorized.
    • Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God (1 John 4:7).
    • If you love Me, keep my commandments (John 14:15).
    • Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to me, and I will listen to you (Jeremiah 29:12).
    • "Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong" (1 Corinthians 16:13)
  • Spiritual: Children should have more knowledge of what monasticism looks like as a result of learning about the seven saints mentioned throughout this module.
  • Social: By the end of this module, children should have more of a familiarity with the topics of love, obedience, prayer, and repentance. They should be able to pray in other ways that are not limited to just the Lord's prayer. The children should also see the value of obedience and love in their relationships.
  • Rituals: Children should have a better understanding of the value of Repentance and Confession and their importance in the church.
