Morality Module

OBJECTIVE

The objective of this module is to address the social difficulties kids are facing among their peers, and to teach and encourage them to overcome the negative and go the extra mile to make a positive impact, as this is our way of sharing God's light with those around us. We want the children to understand that it is often difficult to choose to do the right thing, especially when everyone around us is choosing to do wrong, and that our choices are a reflection of God's likeness in us.

MILESTONES

Scripture:

We often feel disconnected from the scripture and that it is not applicable in modern times, but many difficulties that we face today we can see examples of them in the Holy Bible and through the lives of the saints. The children should be able to connect with these stories and learn and be encouraged by them.

Spiritual:

When we find ourselves in stressful and trying situations, we forget to stop and ask God for guidance and wisdom. By incorporating this into our lives and making prayer a habit, we will find ourselves readily turning our concerns to God and placing the burden in His hand, and turning to Him for aid.

Social:

We aim to give examples through the lessons that the kids have encountered first hand, as well as scenarios that they are likely to encounter in the future. This will allow them to be aware of who they surround themselves with, encourage them to make better choices, and instill in them a firm foundation to guide them closer to Christ with every decision.

Rituals:

Through these lessons, the children should learn the importance of reconciling with their peers and partaking in the Mystery of Confession in order to approach the Mystery of Communion with no contention.
