Capstone
OBJECTIVE
The objective of this module is to address the social difficulties kids are facing among their peers, and to teach and encourage them to overcome the negative and go the extra mile to make a positive impact, as this is our way of sharing God's light with those around us. We want the children to understand that it is often difficult to choose to do the right thing, especially when everyone around us is choosing to do wrong.

Random Acts of Kindness Board
Materials

Instructions
Use this time in class to create an extensive list of ideas of "Random Acts of Kindness" that the children can accomplish throughout the week. Have the children think of as many as they can and also help them by adding a few of your own. You can make this into a chart with each student's name and challenge them to complete as many acts of kindness as they can throughout each week. They can tell you what they did or take pictures throughout the week in order to track progress and encourage continuous kindness throughout the year, not just this one week.
Kindness Cards/Clothespins
Materials
- Clothespins or Index Cards
- Markers or pens
- Kind words and phrases
- Bible Verse references
Instructions
Pass out a few index cards and/or clothespins to each student. Have them write kind words or phrases on each card and clothespin such as "Have a Blessed Day", "You are Loved" , " You are Kind", etc. along with a Bible verse or reference on the other side. Try to make as many as cards or clothespins as possible as a class. Once this is complete, go around the church and pass out to other church members, or even visit other classes to give these kindness cards and pins. The main focus of this activity is to encourage "passing on the kindness". The clothespins can be pinned to one's clothing, so when they find it they see a kind message and a Bible verse to brighten their day. They can then pass it on to someone else to benefit from the kindness Emphasize the importance of kindness and how easy it is to make someone smile and brighten their day.
