Capstone
OBJECTIVE
The objective for this grade is this module is to reflect on faith and in our trust in God. Over the four lessons, we will be looking at different wilderness experiences and see how they require complete dependence on God. Wilderness experiences strip away confidence in the self and replace it with confidence in God. Faith is understanding that God knows everything we need and that He will provide it in His perfect way and in His perfect timing.
The objective of the capstone project is to have the students become more familiar with the tabernacle and how they relate to the altar and vessels found in our church today. This activity will allow the students to connect what they have learned in the Old Testament module with their liturgical experience in church.
INSTRUCTIONS/IDEAS
After reading Exodus 26, individually or as a group, have the students build a replica of the tabernacle of Moses. You may use pizzle kits found online (see links below), printable kits, or they may be built using common materials such as cardboard/foam board, etc. (If done via distance learning, printable paper models can be emailed to students and printed at home)
Alternatively, some students may enjoy creating this virtually using Minecraft, or a similar 3D building tools such as TinkerCAD
