Faith Module

OBJECTIVE

As Orthodox Christians, we are blessed to have an enormous amount of resources explaining and describing death and the afterlife in the Orthodox perspective. This module aims to educate our 5th graders in this study (eschatology), presented in an age-appropriate manner.

MILESTONES

Scripture:

Fifth Graders will know that all the traditions we have are based and supported by Bible readings. We will be doing a lot of Bible reading in this module.

Spiritual:

Fifth Graders will know that our spiritual lives with prepare us for our eternal lives

Social:

Fifth Graders will understand that as Orthodox Christians, we live in community with each other and pray and comfort each other during the difficult times of loss.

Rituals:

Fifth Graders will know that Liturgy is Heaven on Earth
