Old Testament Module

OBJECTIVE

• The objective of this module is to have a basic understanding of the Wisdom books, learn how to read and apply the Wisdom books, and learn to see and identify Christ in the Wisdom books.

Please read through all of the lessons in this module in preparation for this lesson.

MILESTONES

• Scripture: By the end of this module, the children should have four Bible verses memorized.
  • "Sing praises to the Lord, you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness" (Ps. 29:5 LXX)
  • "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding" (Pr. 9:10)
  • I know that whatever God does, It shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, And nothing taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him (Ec. 3:14).
  • "For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth" (Jb. 19:25)
• Spiritual: This module will focus on the different facets of prayer, wisdom, and worship from studying these books in the Bible
• Social: In this module, the children will learn how to demonstrate how to offer appropriate prayers, how to learn discernment, how to find true meaning in life, and how to endure difficulty
• Rituals: This module will reinforce the prayers of the Psalms, the daily reading of Scripture, and rites regarding the readings of Pascha (Job on Wednesday)
