OBJECTIVE

The objective of the service module is to teach the children how Christian service should be implemented in their lives.

The objective for this grade is to teach children that their actions are a service to those around them.

Set up time to visit eldery people from church
At the beginning of the month, work with the children to make coupons for doing some service for their parents or siblings, ranging from doing chores with a good attitude, to cleaning up, or helping younger brother or sister do homework, to giving hugs. You can ask the kids to come up with ideas of things that they should do as service to their family. Ask children to keep a journal of how hard it was, what they learned, and how they can change. At the end of the month when you do the capstone, set up time for all children to talk and share stories about their service and how hard it was, what they learned, and what changes they can implement now in their lives.
