Morality Module

OBJECTIVE

The objective of the morality module is to build a foundation of morality in children stemming purely from their love to our God. It is important that children have self-awareness that their identity is rooted only in Christ. In this module, it is key that we guide our children to craft a Christian conscience. The best examples of morality come directly from the miracles of our Lord Jesus Christ. The love and compassion are exemplified with His actions and His words. As we dive into the curriculum, we will identify key moral characteristics that our Lord Jesus Christ embodied.

Scripture:

Children should know the following memory verses below by end of this module.

  • "I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me." 2 Corinthians 6:18
  • "You shall rise before the gray headed and honor the presence of an old man, and fear your God: I am the Lord." Leviticus 19:32
  • "God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7
  • "A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance." Ecclesiastes 3:4

Spiritual:

Children should understand that Jesus loves little children because they are pure in heart. Children should acknowledge the ways that they can be pure in heart. Children should have a greater awareness that they are created in the image of God and they are deeply loved by Him.

Social:

By the end of this module, children should be aware that they are created in God's image. This means that we do not behave like those on this earth because we are different. Children should understand and practice respect in their lives. They should also understand the importance of sharing and giving to others. Children should also have a sense of how to regulate their emotions in a Godly manner and differentiate between good and bad emotions.
